Cacao powder, made from raw cacao beans, is a nutrient-rich superfood packed with health benefits. It’s loaded with antioxidants, particularly flavonoids, which combat oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and support heart health by improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. Ingredients:
250ml Almond Milk
1 x tin Coconut Milk
1tbsp Honey
3 heaped tbsps of Cacao Powder
Nutmeg
Method:
Heat the almond and coconut milk and water until warmed through (do not allow to boil!). Add the spices and allow to steep for 15 minutes. Strain through a sieve then whisk in the cacao powder, melt in the honey and heat until hot but not boiling. Serve with a cinnamon stick to stir, a grate of nutmeg, a pair of slippers and a roaring fire.
